What the service does
DocParity analyses pull requests in repositories where you install the GitHub App, reports documentation it believes a change has made stale, and may open pull requests containing drafted documentation updates. It writes to your repository only by opening branches and pull requests, and by posting comments and check runs. It never pushes to your default branch.
Review everything it writes
Documentation updates are drafted by a language model. The deterministic engine chooses which documents to touch, and drafts are rejected if they do not look like a revision of the original, but no automated check catches every error. Drafts are proposals, delivered as pull requests precisely so a human reviews them before they merge. You are responsible for what you merge.
Accuracy
Findings are reported with a confidence score and the reason behind them. High-confidence findings are provable from the diff; suggestions are explicitly labelled and capped. DocParity will sometimes miss drift, and will sometimes flag documentation that is fine. It is a reviewer, not a guarantee, and it should not be the only thing standing between your documentation and your users.
Your responsibilities
- Install the app only on repositories you are authorised to install it on
- Review drafted changes before merging them
- Keep any credentials used for self-hosting or external documentation platforms secure
- Do not attempt to disrupt or overload the service
Plans and usage
Usage is metered per pull request analysed, counted once per pull request per calendar month. Where a plan has a limit, exceeding it pauses drafted documentation updates for the remainder of the month; drift detection continues. Plan limits and prices may change with notice.
Availability
The service is provided as-is, without a guaranteed uptime commitment. Analysis may be delayed or unavailable. Because DocParity comments on pull requests rather than gating them by default, an outage should slow your documentation review rather than block your engineering.
Ending it
Uninstall the GitHub App at any time; processing stops immediately. See the privacy policy for how to have stored findings deleted. We may suspend access for abuse or non-payment, and will tell you why.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, DocParity is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, including from documentation that was drafted, flagged, or missed. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
The specific limits, warranty disclaimers, and governing law require the legal entity and jurisdiction to be settled, and legal review.
